| 13 May 2004 | Inger Marie Hognestad | I love the concept Not only Life and Beauty from Death and Dirt, but it's actually the same thing in transformation... Your art is delightful as always. With rats. Seeing such great pen-work I almost feel tempted to pick up my own old old dip-pens... But I think the world will be better off if I stick to writing. I hope, at least. | |
| 13 May 2004 | Kristiina Vainio | It's beautiful. Your art is always beautiful, no matter what the subject is. | |
| 13 May 2004 | Kathryn E. Mitchell | Amazing as usual, how do you get such clean lines, what type of pen? Socar Myles replies: "I use a dip-pen with a very fine nib to get this type of line. You can get the same type of pen from www.currys.com, which is where I get all my art supplies. It's very cheap to get this type of pen: the holder is maybe $2.50, and the nibs are between 0.93 and $2.50 each, in Canadian dollars. You have to get $25 worth of stuff, though, so you can't JUST order a pen." | |
| 26 Sep 2004 | Leoni 'Leofairy' Bunch | How pleasantly morbid...^__^ | |
| 14 Apr 2005 | Mihkayla | Morbid, but strangely reassuring. Death is such a natural part of the cycle of life, but people always seem to forget this. Beautiful. | |
| 28 Jun 2005 | Miriam C. Gill | O.O Morbidly beautiful. | |
| 20 Aug 2005 | Paul Baxter | I'm afraid of rats (well, all rodents, really...) and I'm creeped-out by dead things, but I still love this piece. You have wonderful lines, and I love how you manage to get values out of your lines. Fantastic, and scary (to me)! | |
| 27 Jan 2008 | Casandra l.johnsen | ive never thought of rats as anything special [stupid stereotype] but that is great! | |
| 17 Sep 2008 | Felicity Endings | Because all rats are beautiful, dead or alive | |
